Behind the Krown
Krown and Glory was originated in 2009, by professional hair stylist Kristen "Kris J" Jacobs. Kris J began doing hair at the tender age of 16 and over the years, her passion for hair styling intensified and her clientele grew. In 2009, Kris's primary services were weaves, cornrows and natural hair up do's. After making the personal decision to lock her hair in 2010, a whole new vision was revealed and Sisterlocks TM became the new joy in her life. In her pursuit of sharing that joy with the world, Kris completed the Sisterlock Training Course in April of 2012 and was Certified as a Sisterlocks TM Consultant in Baltimore, MD; shifting the services of the hair salon exclusively to Sisterlocks TM . Now over a decade in business, Krown and Glory has aided in the certification of at least 3 Sisterlock consultants while maintaining a client base of over 400 loyal customers and growing.

Kris J.
Kris J is not only mesmerizing but she is motivating. Whether she is traveling the world as a "Curve Conscious" Caribbean Carnival Masquerader or she is servicing clients as the owner of Krown and Glory; this woman is sure to change the atmosphere of anywhere she goes. She brings a genuine love for humanity, a royal presence, a caring spirit and glittering smile that's sure to light up any room. While she's no stranger to hard work, either in a corporate setting or spiritual realm, perhaps her greatest superpower is that she does all these things while being a full tome mother of three. There is no denying, with Kris's energetic personality and adventurous nature she is truly something magical.

Shadonna
Shadonna is the glue behind the jewels on the Krown and Glory's crown. Shadonna has been the assistant extraordinaire for the salon since 2019. The right hand to Kris, she is always ready to jump in with managing schedules, coordinating lavish events and maintaining an abundant clientele all while having the most pleasant demeanor one could ever encounter. Clients absolutely adore her and so do we at The Krown! Shadonna is a proud wife and mother of two, who's military background lends itself to the advancement in her professional life. She is able to juggle all of her assistant magic at Krown and Glory, while maintaining a full time job in corporate America and a vigorous workout schedule. Yet she still manages to travel, compete in several triathalon races around the United States. No wonder we love this lady, she is our real life superhero!

Ebony
As one of the Sisterlock consultants that were certified with the assistance of Krown and Glory. Ebony began as a client, who later blossomed into a friend. At the time, unaware that she would become the personal wound care nurse to the owner of Krown and Glory, Kris J. The two were well acquainted before Kris's surgery, however while in recovery, the pair become extremely close and ultimately Ebony expressed a desire to spice up her professional life. At this point, Ebony wanted to incorporate her loving nurse's heart with her talented hands to become a hair stylist at Krown and Glory. Previously, providing only loc services in her hometown of Salisbury, MD, Ebony's transition into the salon was smooth and effortless. Clients are always met with a beautiful, Zen-like essence complimented with amazing hair styling skills sure to make anyone smile. Perhaps its her motherly touch, as she does have three little princesses to keep her flowing. Our military vet, Ebony has managed to survive being deployed to Kosovo and Iraq, relocate her family countless times. yet she still maintains a willingness to help anyone in need and with a smile on her face. Can you say, "Walking Angel"? We just want to say thank you for your services Ebony!

Leslie
Rounding out our dynamic team with our Affiliate Stylist, Leslie. She is an extension of Krown and Glory and is always eager to lend a helping hand when we are in need, although she is the Owner & Operator of Epiphany Locs in Bowie, MD. In addition to being a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant, Leslie has a long standing career, busy life as mother to her one son, and spends most of her free time caring for her family. She also loves to travel in luxury and is involved in several community activity clubs. She is a woman that can do it all, while keeping a smile on her face. Her energy is so magnetic and warm, there's no denying that she shifts the atmosphere for the better whenever she is around. We are so honored to call her a friend of Krown and Glory, because every business needs a trustworthy affiliate and Leslie is that for us.
